I find that life is great for me when I take the time to God's word. The Bible is refreshing to me every day. It's like a drink of cool water when I'm really thirsty.
I've read the bible from beginning to end about 20 times. I came up with this number by counting the amount of bibles that I have that I have signed my name to and the words "finished on: with a date". I love getting new bibles too. It's fun to fluff them up by reading every page. Sorry to say that I usually also end up breaking the backs of every book that I read because I make of point of running my hand down the joint of each page so it doesn't flop back closed on me. Whatever.
My life tends to get messed up and confused when I don't regularly read the Bible. So anyway, it works for me. How about for you?

What a great idea to sign the books of the Bible after reading/studying them! I like to mark up my Bible with bits of wisdom I receive from the Holy Spirit in my time of study. By signing the date I studied an individual book I can more easily reflect back on my spiritual growth! I am so grateful for the blessing of continuous growth in God's Word with each time I read a passage. God knows just how much I can take in at each given reading and He carefully speaks to me on my level! He is a masterful teacher! Blessings to you all in your time with the Lord today.
Reading the Bible is refreshing and brings me peace every time I read a passage from it.
I find I read it more when I am in a crisis situation or when I teach on it. I truly need to be more purposeful about it.

I often feel that God speaks to me the most whan I am reading my bible. Every time I read it I feel that it is a whole new experience and I love that, everyday, even if I only read for a couple of minutes, I get some new piece of information on how i can get to know God better and become more like Jesus. It is like a cool drink of water after being perched by the world's demands
I have started reading ACTS in the Message Version and am amazed at what I am finding out about the early Church and what everyone went through to give us this opportunity to learn and grow. Also, the examples they have left us,it is AMAZING how pertinent they are to my life today and it was written 2000 years ago!
I too enjoy daily bible reading, following the read-the-bible-in-a year schedule. After a year is up, I start all over again. What a joy! I still have and use the bible Pastor Naomi gave me. Thanks Naomi! Much love.
